Corporal Justin A. Boswood, a squad leader for Company K, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, talks on the radio while conducting clearing operations Sakran, Iraq, Feb. 14, 2006. The Camp Pendleton, Calif.-based battalion has been in the area for more than five months conducting counter-insurgency operations and providing stability to the 'Triad' area of Haqlaniyah, Barwanah and Haditha. As a part of Operation Pit Bull, Marines and Iraqi soldiers inserted into the small town via helicopter and searched each house for weapons caches and signs of insurgent activity in the area. Boswood is an Asher, Okla. native.
