Water immediately freezes on Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeremiah Honeycutt's drysuit as he takes a quick break from being in the freezing Ashtabula River during a training session in Ashtabula, Ohio, Jan. 14, 2015. When transiting the ice, drysuits, life jackets, helmets, neoprene gloves and hoods are recommended because they keep the freezing water away from the body and provide insulation and protection, which will extend a person's survivability if they fall through the ice.
