The U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) ceremonial party salutes the colors during a change of command ceremony. The ceremony is a time-honored tradition, designated to ensure only authorized officers hold command and that all aboard are aware of its authenticity. Blue Ridge is currently completing a scheduled ships restricted availability period, allowing the ship to resume patrols and to ensure the safety and security of its area of responsibility.
