Corporal Joseph A. Membreno, a supply administration and operations specialist with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Command Element, takes part in a close-order drill evaluation aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), Jan. 18, 2015. The evaluation was part of a meritorious sergeant promotion board. The 24th MEU is embarked on the ships of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
