A soldier with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force completes a portion of the Marine Corps’ swim qualification as part of Exercise Iron Fist 2015 aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 26. Exercise Iron Fist is an annual bilateral training exercise between U.S. and Japanese military forces that builds their combined ability to conduct amphibious and land-based contingency operations.
