Brig. Gen. Tracy King gives closing remarks after a baseball clinic Jan. 24 on Camp Kinser. This was the first baseball clinic held on Camp Kinser. The clinic consisted of Japanese major league baseball player Keiichi Hirano instructing the players on fundamental skills and techniques of baseball followed by a friendly game. “Watching Hirnao interact with the kids and seeing how the kids respond to a guy who is truly passionate about the game was my favorite part,” said King. “They were wide-eyed, paying attention and not fidgeting around. That was enjoyable to see.” The clinic consisted of Hirano instructing the players on fundamental skills and techniques of baseball followed by a friendly game. The day ended with prizes, lunch and a cake for all who participated. King is the commanding general of 3rd Marine Logistics group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
