A U.S. Marine Corps poolee sprints with an ammunition can while a Marine instructs during a delayed entry program all-female workout held Jan. 17, 2015, at the fitness center on Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. Poolees are members of the DEP that have not yet shipped out to recruit training. The DEP workouts consist of strengthening exercises such as pull-ups, box jumps, push-ups and squats to enable poolees to be accustomed to the vigorous workouts and stress they will endure during recruit training.
