Brenda Hain, a civilian member of the prosecution team from the court-martial of the Nov. 5, 2009 shooter, and Jolene Cahill, widow of the only civilian killed during the Nov. 5, 2009, Fort Hood shooting, stand next to the 9/11 Memorial Survivor Tree in memory of the victims of the Fort Hood shootings. Every year, the 9/11 Memorial honors three communities that have been impacted by recent tragedies.
