Members of the Chilean Army 1st Inf. Regiment welcome Maj. General Purser to their Army Garrison in Santiago, Chile. The 1st Inf. Regiment is the oldest unit in the Chilean Army. Purser and Command Sgt. Maj. Luther Thomas, command sergeant major of the Army Reserve, were in Chile at the request of the Army of Chile Commander-in-Chif, Gen.
