Terry Cook, the commander of 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, pins Commissioner Hameed Hermis, an Iraqi police officer, with an Army Achievement Medal during a ceremony at the Provincial Joint Control Center in Kirkuk city, Iraq. Hameed, along with three other police officers, was rewarded for his actions in stopping a would-be suicide bomber from detonating near a local mosque earlier this month.
