    108th Training Command- Initial Entry Training

    Drill sergeant candidates from the active component Army, Army Reserve and National Guard receive on-the-spot corrections from Drill Sergeant Leader Sgt. 1st Class Dennis Unger on "zero day" at the United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy at Fort Jackson, S.C. The nine-week course mirrors the training that new recruits to the Army receive in Basic Combat Training. The Army Reserve has over 2,800 slots available for the prestigious position.
