Army Spc. Connor J. Flanders, a Sanford, Fla., native serving as a motor transport operator in the 993rd Transportation Company, carries a 45-pound rucksack as he completes a six-mile course along the perimeter of Patrick Air Force, Fla., Jan. 24, 2015. Flanders and several other Army Reserve soldiers endured the march as well as other physically and mentally demanding challenges while competing in the 641st Regional Support Group's Best Warrior Competition. The 641st RSG organized the Best Warrior Competition while simultaneously overseeing Operation Responsive Sentinel, a multi-echelon training exercise featuring approximately 950 Soldiers conducting various training exercises and competitions to test their command capabilities and individual readiness.
