Bundled up against the cold and with belts of machine gun rounds draped across their shoulders, Marines with II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) await their turn to fire the M240G medium machine gun during one of the machine gun familiarization courses Nov. 20, 2008. The courses were an integral part of II MEF (Fwd)'s predeployment training before deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
