SEMBAWANG, Singapore (Feb. 17, 2015) Cmdr. Kendall Bridgewater, LCS Crew 104 commanding officer, right, transfers command of the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) to Cmdr. Matthew Kawas, LCS Crew 103 commanding officer, at a change of command ceremony overseen by Capt. Fred Kacher, Destroyer Squadron 7 commodore. Currently on a 16-month rotational deployment in support of the Asia-Pacific Rebalance, Fort Worth is a fast and agile warship tailor-made to patrol the region’s littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing 7th Fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
