First Lt. Aaron Smith uses a computer inside Marine Air Support Squadron 1’s Direct Air Support Center during a Marine Air Command and Control System Integrated Exercise, at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 3, 2015. The purpose of the exercise was to conduct readiness enhancing integrated training to ensure 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing maintains a high state of aviation command and control. Smith is the helicopter director for MASS-1.
