1st Lt. Matthew Peters and wife Adria proudly display his Citizen Soldier Award as they stand in front of the unit flags and battle streamers which date back to the allied invasion of D-Day. Peters of the 352nd Military Police Company, recently returned from Iraq and he received the award at the Welcome Home Warrior Ceremony. The ceremony took place on Saturday, June 6, at the Glenview Mansion in the Rockville Civic Center Park in Maryland. The 352nd was formerly the 214th MP Company which was constituted in the United States Army shortly before the unit stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. The ceremony was held on the 65th anniversary of the allied invasion.
