U.S. Soldiers with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment, engage targets on a practice hand grenade course, Feb. 23, 2015, at the Adazi Training Area, Latvia. Soldiers use this course to improve their hand grenade throwing accuracy and build confidence before throwing live hand grenades the following day. This seven station practice hand grenade course was constructed by the forward deployed DA Civilians of the Training Support Team Latvia to replicate the training conditions which these Vilseck, Germany, based Soldiers could expect while conducting hand grenade accuracy training back at their home-station. Currently there are four Training Support Teams operated by the Training Support Activity Europe to provide U.S. Army Europe and NATO Allied Soldiers with the ability to perform rigorous, realistic and relevant training that enhances their combat readiness.
