ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 20, 2015) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Denilya Williams (left), a Conyers, Ga., native, and Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Christopher Sewell (right), a Cincinnati, Ohio, native, both stationed aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), sweep water and salt off the flight deck during a fresh-water wash down Feb. 24, 2015. New York is a part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
