Sgt. 1st Class Mike W. Gunnels, maintenance supervisor of the 812th Medical Detachment, Air Ambulance, oversees the final preparations before the last three UH-1V Huey helicopters in the Louisiana National Guard prepare to take off for their final mission from Esler Airfield in Pineville, La., June 9. One of the three helicopters will continue to be used in Fort Hood, Texas, while the other two will be used as spare parts in Temple, Texas, and Fort Polk, La.
