Tomoya Tasaki, a forward observer with the Western Army Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, prepares a fire mission to support friendly ground forces during the Amphibious Landing Exercise as part of Exercise Iron Fist 2015 aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 25. Exercise Iron Fist 2015 is an annual bilateral training exercise between U.S. and Japanese military forces that builds their combined ability to conduct amphibious and land-based contingency operations.
