A Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, uses a shepard’s hook to ground a single point claw during externallift exercises aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 4, 2015. CLB-6 teamed up with Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Air Wing to execute external-lifts where a CH-53 Super Stallion helicopter simulates extracting and inserting 8,500 pounds of supplies. The training allowed the pilots to work hand-in-hand with groundside Marines in an effort to support II Marine Expeditionary Force’s readiness.
