Master Sgt. Thomas H. Aycock, the operations non-commissioned officer, 146 Expeditionary Signal Battalion, Multi-National Corp - Iraq, teaches Iraqi boys knot-tying techniques, May 30, during an Iraqi scouting event at French Village, an Iraqi compound that houses locals employed on Victory Base Complex, Baghdad. The program at VBC recently held its one-year anniversary, a result of dedicated weekly staff meetings held each Tuesday and weekly interactive scouting events. As scouting grows, local Iraqi troop leaders continue to take control over the currently American-led program. Each Saturday service members, translators, and Iraqi troop leaders come together to play with and mentor the children of French Village.
