150309-N-SY784-141 WATERS TO THE WEST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March 9, 2015) Sailors serve as line handlers aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) during a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO-197) as part of exercise Foal Eagle 2015. McCain is on patrol in the 7th Fleet area of operation supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Foal Eagle is a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
