Maj. Gen. Michael Edwards, the Adjutant General of Colorado, offers support and condolences to Joanna Mueller at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, March 7, 2015, where Mueller’s uncle, U.S. Army Sgt. Floyd J.R. Jackson, of the 31st Regimental Combat Team, was laid to rest. Jackson, who was missing in action after the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, a Korean War battle fought nearly 65 years ago, was assumed to be a prisoner of war. DNA evidence confirmed he died in a Korean POW camp around Dec. 12, 1950. Jackson was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart, Prisoner of War Medal and many other awards, acknowledging his exemplary service and sacrifice. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt.
