Airmen teamed up to place barriers, cables and signs around the airfield recently, mitigating vulnerabilities and lessening safety risks. This self-help airfield security project saved an estimated $500,000 by using existing assets and volunteers. Walker, a Miami native, is deployed from Key Field, Miss.
