GULF OF ADEN (Mar. 9, 2015) -- Amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) sails in the Gulf of Aden while a landing craft utility takes Sailors and Marines out onto the water for a fishing excursion organized by Iwo Jima Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Iwo Jima is the flagship for the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), provides a versatile, sea-based expeditionary force that can be tailored to a variety of missions in the U.
