150311-N-SY784-085 WATERS TO THE WEST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March 11, 2015) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Dagoberto Guilarte monitors operations in Combat Information Control, with Capt. Kevin Liu, of the 621st Air Control Squadron, as an observer, aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) during exercise Foal Eagle 2015. McCain is on patrol in the 7th Fleet area of operation supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Foal Eagle is a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
