    150313-N-OU290-654 PEARL HARBOR (Mar. 13, 2015) – Pearl Harbor survivors former Chief Boatswain’s Mate Ray Emory and retired Rear Adm. Albert H. Clancy visit with Navy Region Hawaii Chief of Staff Capt. Mark S. Manfredi at the site of their former ship, the USS Honolulu (CL 48). Although the ship is long gone, a plaque honoring its service remains in place at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Bravo Pier 21, which reads: “At 0758, 7 December 1941 near this spot an armor-piercing bomb penetrated the dock deck and exploded under water inflicting severe damage to the USS Honolulu.” (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Omari K.
