An ROTC cadet at the University of Texas takes notes as he listens to noncommissioned officers with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division discuss what is expected of a platoon leader. The seasoned leaders discussed topics such as professionalism, leadership and counseling. Outside of their instructors, this is the first time that many of the students have had the chance to talk to NCOs instead of commissioned officers and get a different perspective about Army life.
