Maj. Gen. Hunt B. Downer, assistant adjutant general of the Louisiana National Guard, and members of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma pay their respects at the spot where the remains of a Seminole woman were found during construction at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, June 14. The LANG participated in a dedication ceremony in remembrance of the tribal members brought to Fort Pike, located in eastern New Orleans, in the 1800s.
