A Special Forces member from a Gulf Cooperation Council nation attempts to hook a boarding ladder onto U.S. Army vessel “Corinth” during visit, board, search and seizure training in the Arabian Gulf during Exercise Eagle Resolve March 17, 2015. Teams of international military and maritime security forces from the U.S. and Gulf Cooperation Council nations practiced boarding and searching procedures to develop tactics used to investigate vessels as part of routine maritime security operations to combat such things human trafficking, illegal drugs and weapons smuggling, terrorism and other violations of international law. Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015 affords 29 partner nations the opportunity to train together to address the regional challenges associated with symmetric/unconventional warfare in a multinational environment. This is the Government of Kuwait’s first time hosting Eagle Resolve, which is the premiere Arabian Peninsula/Gulf Region exercise among the United States, Gulf Cooperation Council nations and other international partners.
