ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 10, 2015) - Aviation Support Equipment Technician 2nd Class Adam Haffner, a Monroeville, Ind., native stationed aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), directs the takeoff of an MH-60S Sea Hawk assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26 during flight operations Feb. 10, 2015. New York is a part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
