Specialist Nathanael Dewey, a cook assigned the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), carves out the eye on his ice sculpture of a minion during the 40th Annual Military Culinary Arts Competitive Training Event at Fort Lee, Va., March 11. Dewey and his teammate, Staff Sgt. Markos Mendoza, a cook assigned to the 257th Transportation Company, represented the Army Reserve in the ice sculpting competition, and although neither Soldier had previous ice carving experience they managed to earn a bronze medal for their carving of the characters from the "Minions," a popular 3-D computer-animated movie.
