Iraqi-born U.S. Soldier turned American citizen, Spc. "Brown" (right), interpreter for the 225th Engineer Brigade, served as a translator during the training of members of Iraq's 2nd National Police in a recent Army engineering route clearance class. Brown, who uses the nickname to protect members of his family who still live in Baghdad, has been instrumental in bridging the language barrier during the historic transition phase of operations in Iraq. Brown joined 236 other Soldiers on July 4 to officially take the oath as American citizens at a naturalization ceremony at Camp Liberty, Iraq.
