U.S. Army vehicles cross the Rhine River in Germany from west to east at Worms in April 1944. The 4th Inf. Div. troops crossed the river at Worms March 29, 1944. The 70th anniversary commemoration of the 4th Inf. Div.'s crossing of the Rhine occurred with meters of the engineer bridge shown in the photograph.
