Doris Broomhall, from Rockhampton, and other members of the Bauhinians, the Rockhampton Senior Citizens Club choir, sing popular American songs during the Club's U.S. Independence Day celebration, July 3. The U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific band brass quintet performed during the celebration. The band is in country for Talisman Saber 2009, a biennial combined training activity designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined task force operations, which will help improve Australian Defence Force/U.S. combat readiness.
