150406-N-AD372-100 WATERS SOUTH OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (April 6, 2015) Ensign Andrew Rumments, weapons officer aboard the mine countermeasure ship USS Chief (MCM 14, tracks a contact with the SPS-55 radar on the bridge. Chief is participating in Exercise Foal Eagle 2015, a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
