Marines with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion count and separate ammunition that would later be used during a training exercise at range SR-7 aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 6, 2015. Approximately 30 Marines from the battalion conducted a two-day, machine-gun range where they shot the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M240 Bravo medium machine gun and M2 .50-caliber machine gun from both the mounted and un-mounted positions at targets placed at unknown distances.
