Spc. Kory Twardowski, a member of the 818th Engineer Company, Williston, in front of utility crew fixing power lines at his house, 145 6th Street Southeast. His place suffered only minor damage - a patch of siding ripped off, a crushed drainpipe, a broken window, etc. - which was fortunate, since his pregnant wife and three children were at home when the tornado hit. Twardoski staffed a traffic control point Friday on 7th Street Southeast, a block from his own house. His wife went to work as usual, and the children went to daycare.
