The remains of Cpl. Lindsey Lockett, who died in a prisoner of war camp in North Korea 64 years ago, return home to Richmond, Va., April 9, 2015, to his widow, son and grandson, Sgt. Leonardo Lockett, who serves in the Virginia National Guard's Powhatan-based 180th Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion. Cpl. Lockett was captured in December of 1950, just days before the birth of his son back home in Virginia, and died in a POW camp in the spring of 1951. As part of a remains exchange with North Korea, Cpl. Lockett’s unidentified remains were reinterred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Hawaii, commonly known as the Punchbowl, along with the remains of several hundred other unknowns from the Korean War. Recent technology developments allowed the remains to be identified late last year, and Cpl. Lockett was finally able to return home. (Photo by Staff Sgt. Terra C.
