    Senior Drill Instructor Staff Sgt. Adrienne R. Cambridge encourages recruits of November Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, to sprint faster during a physical fitness session March 19, 2015, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits participate in more than 30 physical training sessions throughout boot camp to prepare for the Marine Corps’ high physical fitness standards. Cambridge, 26, is from Farmington, N.M. November Company is scheduled to graduate May 29, 2015. Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
