Finished horseshoes hang on a brick wall inside the Caisson Platoon Stables at the Fort Myer portion of JBM-HH April 9. Spc. Todd D. Kline of the Caisson Platoon, 1st Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), forges the shoes for the platoon's steeds, which are used to provide daily ceremonial support, such as pulling carts with caskets during funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery. The horses require routine care, including new shoes every six weeks or as needed. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Cody W. Torkelson)
