More than 40 members of the 123rd Airlift Wing attend a pre-departure brief at the Kentucky Air National Guard Base in Louisville, Ky., April 24, 2015, prior to deploying to an undisclosed air base in the Persian Gulf region. The Airmen, who left aboard a Kentucky Air Guard C-130 Hercules aircraft, comprise the third rotation of 123rd Airmen to deploy to the base since February. The Air Guardsmen will be flying airlift missions throughout the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, which provides military training and counterterrorism capabilities in Afghanistan.
