Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Smith assists Petty Officer 3rd Class Erika Mata with her daily inspection on a SH-60F Seahawk, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 4, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Daily maintenance is performed to ensure that aircraft components are functional prior to flight operations. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
