NEW ORLEANS (April 17, 2015) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Kristina Mulhem along with amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) load mulch into wheelbarrows at City Park in New Orleans as part of a community relation event, which included nearly 500 volunteers ranging from Sailors, Marines and foreign national sailors, to beautify the park. Wasp is participating in Navy Week New Orleans 2015, a weeklong celebration and collaboration with the community of New Orleans with ships representing the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, as well as the Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.
