150427-N-VN372-245 BOSSIER CITY, La. (April 27, 2015) Mayor Lorenz Walker, mayor of Bossier City, looks at Navy dive equipment during an open house and ceremony at Bossier City Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) to honor the Shreveport/Bossier city, parish, government and school officials, strengthen their continued partnerships and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Navy Reserves. The ceremony, part of Navy Week Shreveport, featured Navy Divers, Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians, the Navy Band, Rear Admiral Keith M. Jones and Sailors from both the local NOSC and Navy Recruiting District Houston. Navy Weeks focus a variety of assets, equipment and personnel on a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects, in cities that don't have a large naval presence.
