Joint Base San Antonio military ambassadors representing the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard pose with a hat contestant Minu Martinez during the 23rd annual Women’s Club of San Antonio Hat Contest and Luncheon April 16, to mark the first day of Fiesta San Antonio. Ten military ambassadors are selected annually, representing each branch of service for a year-long commitment, and participate during Fiesta San Antonio, a celebration of military history surrounding the siege and final assault on the Alamo in San Antonio and the Battle of San Jacinto, Texas, both occurring in 1836. The Military Civilian Club escorts the military ambassadors during Fiesta.
