U.S. Coast Guard Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Claudio Polo, a boarding team member from U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Legare, conducts a mock identification check of a crewmember aboard the Moroccan Royal Navy Vessel Rais Charkaoui during a boarding exercise off the coast of Morocco, July 22. Legare and crew concluded a nine-day law enforcement operation alongside crew members from the Moroccan Royal Navy vessel Rais Charkaoui. During the mission, boarding team members from both the Coast Guard and Moroccan Royal Navy shared boarding tactics and law enforcement procedures. The U.S. Coast Guard, under the direction of Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe- Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa, conducted law enforcement operations with the Moroccan Royal Navy in a partnership to build a safer, more prosperous sea-trade environment in the region.
