At 4:45 a.m. Combat Logistics Battalion 8's Transportation Support Platoon has already been up for nearly three hours, but prior to the pre-convoy brief Lance Cpl. Eric Valdez takes roll in the chow hall, July 28, to ensure all hands receive the same information prior to moving their 58 Marines, 19 vehicles and cargo outside the wire.
