U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Niel J. Peltier is an airframes mechanic staff non-commissioned officer in charge with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 currently contributing to the joint-service humanitarian aid mission in Nepal under JTF 505, which is composed of service members from across the U.S. military. The task force responded with joint capabilities and relief supplies after the Nepalese government requested assistance from U.S. Agency for International Development following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck their country April 25.
